About a month ago i was at a house party for our year leaving school and heading off to uni. Essentially what happened was that completely unprovoked a boy whom i have never gotton over the past 5 years on with took several clean, full punch cheapshots to my face, to which i did not retaliate. Blood all over the place, and i assumed it was broken but at the time didn't want to cause a scene so let it go for the night.
The next day i get cleaned up, and i just have had a bad nose bleed and have a very little swelling on my nose, much to the disbelief of people who witnessed what happened, and i find out that the boy in question had suffered 3 broken bones in his hand, and needed sugary (which to this day hasn't healed properly). I have never been a violent, angry or aggressive person, nor someone to hold a grudge, so i just thought oh that's karma for you and said no more of it.
Now i have heard that still to this day the boy who will remain nameless spreading complete bs about how he "took me out" (he is about 5 8" and im 6 1") and saying i wanted to start a fight which i know is 100% not true.
The more i think about it, if the roles were reversed i know for a fact he wouldn't have let this slide the way i have, and i just know he would have seek ed revenge in some way or another.
These 2 things make me wonder if just sweeping it under the carpet is actually what i want to do.
How would you react to this? Im not going to hit him or anything, as tempting as it is (mainly as although we are the same age, it would be more like a man hitting a boy, and he certainly would be as lucky as i was, which would only end in reprocussions for me.)
I apreaciate the time taken for all serious reponses
