A few weeks ago i hosted a party at my house - I invited a friend, he also invited his girlfriend and sister. I thought fine; the more the merrier.
They told me they had no way of getting there ( even though his mom drives) so i ended up driving almost an hour during the party to pick them up - they insisted i got there for 8 - when i got there, they were not even ready and made me wait about half an hour even though i was anxious about getting back to the party.
Anyway, the party happened and all was good. I said they could stay if they wished as it would finish late. About 2.30 am i was clearing up outside ( everyone else had left) and i heard this awful heavy metal music playing from the house - i went inside and it was this guy and his sister and gf playing more music. I asked them to turn it off as my housemates were sleeping and 2 of them had to be up early to catch a plane. I turned the music off.
They then ( when i was cleaning up again) proceeded to turn it back on, and all my housemates woke up. Once again, i told them that the party had finished and my housemates were trying to sleep and they said things like " I don't care, i want to stay up" and " It's not my problem they have to wake up early etc"
This made me so mad as they had such little respect for my house / housemates. I told them that they were acting like idiots, especially as i had come out to get them for the party without even asking for gas money etc.
I was so mad, i ended up spending the night at my girlfriends house and i refused point blank to take them back home in the morning so i ordered them a taxi and i paid for it, i would rather have done that then seen them.
When they had left and i got back home, they had left my bedroom ( where they stayed) looking like a pig sty. They were leaking beer cans / bottles everywhere and smashed glass on my carpet and even my good jacked was thrown in the garden all night. I know it was them that did all this mess as they were the only people left who were not my housemates.
This was a few weeks ago and i haven't spoke to any of them since. People have asked me and said it's a shame etc, but i think i am not in the wrong here. I had no word from any of them since - no sorry, no thank you for the taxi, nothing. I would rather not have friends like that... Am i in the wrong or would you guys do the same? thanks for reading...
