I'm in year 9 and I've only invited two new friends over to my house since I started secondary school.
My house is disgusting, and my family doesn't care. I have two sisters who throw their stuff all over the floor, my mum doesn't have enough time/doesn't bother cleaning that much and dad just doesn't help at all. It has cigarette burns on the carpet from a party 20years ago, scribbles all over the walls, junk everywhere. Then up in my room it's hoovered every week, no rubbish, all neat.
I don't want to invite my friends over, and I don't have enough time to clean the house. I have drama rehearsals 14 hours a week, I practise flute for an hour a day, and I do and hour of art, plus 10 hours of homework a week. I have real trouble trying to fit in exercise and freetime, let alone cleaning.
Will my friends really care what my house looks like? Their houses are spotless. My two friends reactions were "Aww, it looks like a charity shop" and "My mum likes to clean our house"
What should I do? My family doesn't care!
