Well, to start off with, Me and my girlfriend have been together for 8 months, and i'm 24, and shes 23, shes of english/asian descent, but was raised in an asian country (I wont give out which country because I feel its an invasion of her privacy)
When I first met her, and she served me, she was really shy, like I would ask her for another refill of coffee, and she would just shake while pouring my coffee, and when she spilled it by accident, she was trying to clean it up, and when I touched the napkins, she just scooted back like I hit her, And I asked her "are you all right?" she just nodded and said "Please don't hurt me, I didnt do anything wrong"
Anyway, shes used to me now, I'm the only person shes used to. I last time brought her to meet my mum, My mum offered her some tea when she walked in, she said yes, my mum held out her hand to shake, and said "please to meet you my dear" and she just kept shaking, and she dropped her tea on the carpet, and started crying on my shoulder and she started just started yelling "I didn't do anything wrong dont hurt me". My mum then said "its all right dear, are you all right?"
She just kept crying, and i asked her what keeps bothering her to act this way?
She just kept yelling "don't hurt me I wanna go home" Once my mum told me to take her home, the only thing she did was cry. When we got home, I asked her what was wrong, and she just sat down on the floor, saying "Daddy hit me, everyone hit me when I was a kid, everyone stares at me, and i get flashbacks" she also showed me her injured arm, and she told me thats why she always shakes, then I was just trying to give her a hug, she just kept scooting back and saying "I didn't do anything wrong, dont hurt me" I just kept trying to tell her Im not trying to hurt her, i'm just trying to help, and she just sat still, and Once I hugged her, she just kept crying harder.
She stopped crying about a while back, and told me she wanted me to watch a movie with her, once she fell asleep, I went on her cell phone, and she had about 20 new text messages, I didnt really mean to look at them, but I saw they were all from her dad, and in One of the texts, he said "I'm gonna find you, and you're gonna come home to daddy"
I was going to notify the police, but Im not sure what to do, What should I do? counselling? She won't overcome her fear, and I'm scared that one day, she might look at me the same way.
- And yes, I tried talking to her for more information, but the problem is she won't talk, She just seems really scared.
I want to help, but its hard getting her to talk.
Yahoo answers is helpless, just forget it, i'll solve it on my own.
