I have had my cat for around 9 years and moved into my new house 3 years ago. My cat usually goes outside to do her business as we put in a cat flap for her. We got a Great Dane 1 year ago and my cat does tend to stay upstairs a lot of the time and the dog downstairs although she and the dog are ok with each other really even sharing the same bed sometimes (they wasn't ok to start but are used to each other now) Its just recently my cat has started to do her business upstairs on the toilet floor, in my daughters bedroom on the carpet and the landing carpet!! I obviously clean it the best I can but I'm sure I can still smell it! She is ruining the carpets. I have sprayed 'stay away' which is supposed to do just that but Im sure the cat is still doing it upstairs and I don't know why???
