I've noticed I'm always getting little remarks and cheeky comments from my mother-in-law.. I was hoovering the carpet the other day and told her she needs to get a new one as it hardly picks up dust (its very very old and crap) and she said she will and then I can hoover the whole house all day and started lauging..I took it as a joke but it gets annoying after a while when she has a joke on my expense. Then when I say things to her son (aka my husband) like you should do your ironing and cleaning she says don't say anything to my dear son (again in a joking tone). It's just snippy little comments she makes and it really annoys me...what can I do to tell her to stop it in a respectful way... she seems to think I'm ok with her having jokes on my expense..
And another thing..why is it when her own daughters do something its like sun shines out of their backside but I hardly get any appreciation...what drives mother-in-laws to do this?
