We have a black labrador and her bed at night time is just around the corner from our kitchen (she doesn't roam the house at night times).
If me or my husband leave a few dirty dishes in the sink with midnight snack food on, or say if we leave food dishes from say 7pm with old food on, or if we leave a pan to soak in the sink, the dog goes mental in the night.
She'll start trying to find something to chew like a shoe, or bedding in her bed, or even carpet she's tried to eat before now, and she'll try to eat something to then be sick.
We find when this happens we then have to come downstairs in the middle of the night and let her out into the back garden so she can eat grass so she can be sick.
Its like as soon as we open the back door for her she darts out all hyper searching for grass to eat and be sick.
I know the solution is always wash the food dishes.
She NEVER does this when all the dishes are done and clean.
But if she smells a tiny bit of old food on a plate she starts with everything above.
Whats wrong with her ?
i know the solution is to wash all dirty dishes, but i'm just wondering why she does what she does, for what reason ?
