I was advised by a carpet fitter to get my bathroom floorboards boarded out before having lino fitted. I want to try to do the job myself but not sure what wood is the best? Would I board it out around toilet/sink or can i leave gaps? Not sure as I am a complete DIY novice or is it best to leave job to the professionals?
