I'm planning to sell my house at the start of next year, I really need a new carpet now though for the living room that is fairly cheap. I have no hallway, the front door opens into the living room from the street and I also have two cats who tramp mud / dirt into the house. The floor is also very uneven underneath the carpet, it's not overly noticeable with the current carpet. I want to spend as little as possible, I don't want it to look too cheap and I want it stain resistant or easy to clean. Any suggestions on type / mix / pattern / texture? Was thinking Polypropylene but it may be too flat for my bumpy floor.
