I was in my grandmas old house in the living room at the back. there was no furniture and the curtains were closed. there was an ornate/old fashioned french fireplace as there was. it was very pretty [white/magnolia]. the floors were light laminate wood[used to be carpet].
The floor was divided diagonally into light and dark. there were spotlights on the picture rails, all on, but only illuminating on the bright side.
I squatted on the diagonal line half in light half in dark, because every time i went into the shadows the light would Surround me. I was toward the end where the dark was wide.
I was trying to hide in the shadows from my dear old friend, he was pouring jack daniels into Crystal glasses on the floor at the other end. he didn't say anything at that point but he was encouraging me to come out or come over. there was another old friend in the room one i did not care for; didn't see or really acknowledge him.
Eventually i went over to him and he was inviting me to dance with him [the waltz kind of dance], i hesitated and was a bit nervous. when we were dancing the lights were out. and it was dim not pitch black, as the light shone through the edges of the blackout curtains like it does in the early morning.
i felt like i wanted to be close with him but was scared and began to feel like he was going to hurt me.
i bit off hiss thumb, he did not get furious nor angry, he said "Louise, Man, what are you doing". there was no blood. i wished i didn't do that while in the dream.
