I am absolutely clueless about interior design so please help.
When we moved into our house we found lovely old woodblock under the awful carpets. We have resanded and it looks great. Now we are stuck with what to do with stairs and upstairs rooms. The stairs currently has hideous pink carpet, main bedroom hideous peach carpet, second bedrom very shabby navy blue carpet. Small room filthy "beige" carpet. We want to do up (on a tight budget) but need to know -
is the diy click together laminate really suitable for bedrooms? If so what would be then do with stairs and landing.
Will laminate look cheap next to woodblock? We will have to buy stuff for about £25 per sqm at most
Should we do all bedroom floors the same and should they match the colour downstairs?
What about the stairs then? I think that would have to be carpet. It is currently painted white under the carpet and sanding back to put in a carpet runner seems too much work with small children in the house.
