Where are these slim black beetles coming from?
I live in the u.k and recently i've noticed these slim black beetles, about half an inch long and about 4 mm wide, just fly onto my desk. I get really freaked out as i have a phobia of beetles. It started last year, they would come about 2 times a month, only in summer then it stopped in winter. I thought it was over but i was so upset when one flew on my desk yesterday.
They ONLY come at night, never during the day. I can't figure out where they come from, i don't think they're wood eating as there's no holes in the wood. My windows are shut at night so they can't come from there. My dad sealed all the holes in my window sill and floor boards etc and i clean my room all the time. I don't have carpet. They mainly fly onto my desk which is next to the bay window, but i can't see where they're coming from.
Does anyone know anything about these beetles, where they're coming from and how i can prevent them from coming?
