I have been living in my house (midland heart) for a little over three years. There has been a mouse infestation problem next door (as far as I am aware) for about a year and a half. I always knew it was inevitable that they would find a way into my home. I don't eat upstairs never have and as far as I am aware for now, they are not in my kitchen. I made this know to midland heart and a neighbourhood officer came out to inspect the property. She said there was no problem with the garden and that my house was clean but perhaps a little cluttered (by this she was referring to my recycling, a very large box from xmas in the living room; recycling men had not been around in weeks and a few things left out of the cupboard from when I was doing my mice inspections. When she wrote my a follow up letter she said basically, that she felt that the mice infestation was due to negligence on my half. I wrote a compliant letter e.c.t. and she is no longer my housing officer.
Anyway there are numerous repairs to be done, I removed the carpet and saw the floor boards which are terrible. A mouse can fit thorough a hole the szie of a pencil and these holes are larger than that and some are two inches wide.
TheAtticc wasdestroyedd aftercentrall heating was put in, the gas men when they come around to check everything is in order, Tell me about thenumerouss holes in the walls and holes made when putting the pipes in. The kitchen cuboards are falling apart at the back and loas thoughuthey mightght lead outside.
The point is it is has been over three weeks since tneighbourhoodood officeverifiedied the repairs to be done.An dI have had no conformation of these repairs or anything suggest thethe repairs have been logged.
I am going midland heartsrts offitomorrowrow, I am going to a solicitoWhathatI want to know what aretare my legal rights, they wont move me and they wont what isatis there problem. The whole neighbourhood is infested, they have ran on my sons blanket while he sleeps, and around our feet.
I cant live like this anymore anything I have done to prevent them such as poison (they remove the peanutbutter formPoisonposin), they remove the food without setting off traps.
