I had some building work done, on day one the builder pulled down the ceiling (as agreed) and black soot went everywhere. This soot sunk into two carpets and could not be hoovered up. He tried to clean one of the carpets with a vax and scrubbed it so hard he ruined the pile. I told him to leave the other carpet and get it professionally

Hi, We recently had a house party and there are a few stains on our lounge carpet that we cant get out Think its a combination of red wine/beer/Coke :(
Any tips on getting it out? Oh, and we hav already tried white wine, 1001 carpet mouse, Vanish and a Vax, all of which have been unsuccessful :(

My vax rapide carpet cleaner has just cut out and is now not working, i have changed the fuse and check different plug sockets so now my carpet is only half finished HELP!! many thanks

I am thinking of getting a Vax Rapide but I would like to use it on hard floors like tiles, lino and such. Has anyone used one for that and how do you rate it on hard flooring? The Bissell has a hard floor attachment but is more expensive.

Hi, I had a wool rug in cream in my lounge & my piglet did a few wee wee's on it, although I blotted it with kitchen roll until dry then scrubbed it with carpet cleaner, it looks a bit stained in places.
