You are gasping, yes, at first glance both seem to be worlds and aeons apart. Rhianna, a young twenty something international R and/or B artist with several high ranking musical CDs and hordes of adoring fans.
And, jesus, a filthy beardy bloke with a father who cannot handle responsibility and leaves his child to be looked after by a carpenter who hasn't the organisation skills to get his pregnant wife a hotel room. A bloke who vanished for the best part of twenty years and then shows up with no life skills, no home, claiming to be the almighty in a corporeal shell. And eventually getting him self done in by his own people.
I was pondering, as i do. Wine glass in one hand, cigar in the other. A dimly lit room, walls hidden by stuffed book cases, and finest carpets on the floor, a lovely mahogany coffee table and the best leather chairs.
As i sat, pondering the very nature of the universe, from the tiniest fabrics of resonating strings to the magnificently large nebulae spanning light years. To help me think i decided I'd put on one of the classics, reaching over to my collection of albums I picked one of the musical CDs from the young lady in question, "Umbrella" as it is known to the masses.
As i listened, i noticed many of this fine young Lady's lyrics fitted with the messages of the old beardy poor bloke. I draw your eye to the said lyrics;

Once again, these biblical messages are riddled with allegory and metaphor, the umbrella being divine protection of faith from the constant down poor of doubt and harsh words of unbelievers. "When the sun shines, we'll shine together" clearly, the eventuality of death, that and the following lines seem to indicate that when we depart from this world we will be forever in the graces of dearest Rhianna and here warmth love and friendship. Throughout the song she makes several references to infinity, and running into her arms to experience her love, affection and devotion.
Make of it what you will, but i think its rather evident.
