I have cleaned my daughters bedroom carpet with a vac carpet vleaner but went a bit over the top and it was very wet! It is almost dry now but it has left a water stain which I will now have to try and get out and it still smells a little damp. Should I wait till it is completely dry then just go over it with the cleaner and shampoo again but not so much this time or scarp it and throw it out? In a previous similar question I asked, someone suggested it is water logged and just needs to be thrown? Is this really necessary? They also said there will now be bacteria in it????
