I gave birth over a month ago and ever since I've become increasingly depressed. I used to be able to get up much earlier, now I barely get up before midday. I don't eat because I just don't feel hungry (Which is great for my figure but not so good for my milk production) it even got to the point I looked through the boxes of meds my midwife gave me as pain relief and wondered how many it would take to kill myself. the only reason I didn't is because I couldn't stand the thought of my baby growing up without his mom.
I don't think it's baby making me feel this way, we moved house 4 days before he arrived and I HATE the new house. I long to be back at the old house, I felt so settled. This new house is infested with fleas from the previous grotty tenants (Which the landlord won't deal with) and there are no carpets or floors down just bare wood. I hate being in the house I never feel clean or comfortable. But I know it's just tough and I have to deal with it because we can't afford to move anywhere else now.
Should I got and get help from my doctor or just leave it? I don't want to be wasting his time if all this is my fault? I mean should I be able to just get over it? I don't want him to think I'm attention seeking or wasting his time.

Thanks chris! We are in a house owned by a housing association so this is as cheap as it gets :( i'll get some slim fast too i never thought of that.
