Water pipe burst all over my study. My clothes and other electrical items got wet. Hall and bedroom and living room got wet but now dried in. It happened a week ago. The assessor will take another few days.
Is it best to leave everything the way it was as i have done since the incident? Would it be worth my while claiming? I was told by some folks that they would just clean the carpet and forget the all the clothes and books as they are now dry. Some electrical will all need receipt and i have no receipt for any of it now. They are just going to make it difficult for me.
Is any of it true? Next year premium will go up but is it worth my while?
Thanks for answering. Should I organise my belongings to what i am claiming and check all electrical item or should i leave them the way they were when I was trying to salvage them?
The house is a tip and i am pulling my hair with the mess. I found out i don't have accidental damage. This is my first claim ever so i any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
