yesterday morning non of my switches were working - all lights were fine as they are on the other side of the circuit.
I identified that the problem was the hot water, by (lengthy) process of elimination (it was the last thing i thought of. But makes complete sense as it is on a timer and to come on first thing in the morning. i have it switched to off so everything is now fine but i have no hot water...
when the hot water is on the RCD breaks the circuit.
Can anyone suggest possible easy fix solutions to try before i call someone in?
and also who do i call heating engineer or electrician?
I have a back boiler behind my fireplace
There is a small red tank on wall in cupboard
and larger older tank of floor in cupboard
(cupboard i just painted, carpeted ans put some nails in walls - although pipes are visible)
I did the work in the cupboard 4 days before the problem started
it is a baxi bermuda back boiler
