I have a 7 month old border collie puppy that I have owned since she was 9 weeks old and have struggled with her toilet training ever since. She is an obedient puppy who gets lots of excercise and has two playmates in the shape of my two other border collie's that I have owned since pups and both were very easy to toilet train, so I know it's not a breed thing.
I have tried everything with this puppy. She is crated overnight and is generally clean and dry, but took a while for her to not wee and poop in her crate overnight. I am at home 6 days out of 7, she gets plenty of walks and I let her out to the toilet are very frequent intervals.
The problem is that, no matter how frequently I am letting her out to the toilet, she will still wee and poop on my kitchen floor, often 20 mins after I have let her out. Mostly, she does go to the toilet when I let her out so feel that it is a laziness problem as she can go through the night in her crate completely dry. I live in a 3 storey house, our kitchen is on the ground floor, but it means that due to the fact of her toileting issue I simply cannot allow her to be anywhere in the house but the kitchen or I would have to replace my carpets.
I am moving house in about 3 weeks to a property that I do not own and is in pristine condition, I have been told that is she does this at the new house, I will have to get rid of her.
Help, I don't want to sell my puppy!
