Okay so I've been dying for a cat since my last one got eaten by coyote two years ago....Today I asked my dad to give me five reasons why and here's what they were:
1. They scratch up the couches (happened with one of our previous cats)
2. They pee on the carpet
3. They smell like sh*t
4. They meow in the middle of the night and it's really annoying
5. They're useless
Okay for the first one I told him I'd get it a kitten so I could get a scratching post and train it to scratch that and not the couch. I reminded him that we just got tile done so it wouldn't stain the carpet. I promised him I would get a cat bed and keep it in my room at night and I would put the litterbox in the laundry room so we wouldn't smell it and i promised i would clean it often. He still thinks they're too expensive to spay/ neuter and he still thinks they're useless because with dogs you can play, train them, and they can scare people away(we have a big dog, a red heeler Rhodesian ridge-back mix.
What do I do I really want a cat???
I'm 12 by the way, 7th grade.
