I stayed in a rented room and when I moved out the landlord said he will not return my £200 deposit. He said he needed to replace the carpet. This is rubbish - I did spill juice on the carpet a couple of times and mopped it up leaving a faint stain but certainly a hoover with a washing thing could have removed it. There is black mould on the window ledge - not my fault. there were some cobwebs in the corners (my fault) and when I moved out I did not manage to deep clean it because I had to go with the moving van to another city - normally I would have stayed behind for half an hour and had a hoover and a wipe down but I didn't.
Now the guy is saying it took a cleaning person all day using special chemicals to clean it. BS! and that he had to replace the carpet!
how can I make my point that this is totally unfair!
