My little Tokyo is 8months old this month and we live in an apartment since he was 11 weeks old. He goes out for regular walks and has plenty of space to run, despite having no garden. I have a Cat also, which is male and they are simply in love with each other.
He has his puppy pads that are always in the same place so if he needed to go toilet he would, without fail. Only in the past few days has he been starting to wee up and on things in front of me!
*For example, I was putting fresh sheets on the bed and put the bare duvet on the floor so I could put the bottom sheet on, within a few minutes he just pee'd on the duvet! But what I don't understand is that moments before, he pee'd outside before coming indoors! Also, in the past few days, if I'd be in the Kitchen he'd pee next to a bag on the floor, and his worse habit at the moment is peeing on the bed! Yesterday I was doing the bed and tucking the sheets in and Tokyo then jumped and pee'd so quickly before I could tell him to get down! I tell him off and place him on his pads.
He is really so well trained with his pads, if he needs to go toilet, he'll run straight to his pads and I will praise him, but why is he now peeing in front of me on the bed and carpet? He didn't even do this when he was a baby!
He hasn't been neutered. Why is he doing this? Is he trying to tell me there is a problem? I know the puppy pads tell him to pee in the house, but he has ALWAYS pee'd on the pads which have been in the same place since being a puppy unless he was out for walkies, so why when he's older? x
