and I don't know how to stop her!
She used to do it on our old carpet and has just done it on our new laminate floor. We keep her litter tray clean so she's got no reason to be doing this. We have another cat (her brother) who has never gone to the toilet inside the house so I don't know whether it is a female thing. Any idea on how we can stop her from doing this?!
FYI she is not a kitten and we've had her for four years. She does go in the litter tray all the time and is quite fastidious about it but for some reason she is peeing in the corners of the living room too.
She was spayed when she was 6 months old as was her brother.
She's been treated for a UTI recently and whilst we're finishing the course of antibiotics the vet said that she is fine now. However, as I said this is something that she has been doing for a long time so I wondered is something like this common in female cats? I've only had male cats before and they've never done anything like this. Could it be a hormonal thing?
