I have a 2 year old Ragdoll who refuses to use the litter tray, and instead uses the formal room as an over-sized litter tray (normally she does her business near the wall, but she'll use any section of the carpet). This has been happening for the past 6-7 months, ever since she gave birth to a litter of kittens. We've taken her to the vet, however there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with her.
There are 4 other cats living in the house; Two of them where there when she arrived, and the other two are her kittens. Each of them has their own litter tray, and we do our best to keep them as clean as possible. However, Gemma continues to use the carpet and there doesn't seem to be anything that we can do to convince her to use the litter-tray, and now one of her kittens has started to copy her. Does anybody have any suggestions on what we can do to help her go back to using the litter-tray?
