She is normally excellent with holding her bowels and bladder until we let her out, but the last few days her poos have been really sloppy and there has been lots of it. Yesterday she went for a poo in the morning and one at lunchtime when i come home to let her out during my lunch break. When we got back last night at 5pm she had gone into the bathroom and there was watery, runny and VERY smelly poo all over the floor (so glad it wasn't on the carpet in the hall!) Then she continued to do about 5 more poos throughout the evening, and again did about 3 this morning before we went to work. We have left loads of newspaper in the bathroom and on the carpet (in case!) - we had to go to work this morning. I plan to take her to the vets after work, we didn;t feed her this morning. I was just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences, or advice? I am dreading going back at lunch as i'm sure i will vomit if shes done it again. (my partner cleaned it up last night!!!) Thanks
I am going to take her to the vet this afternoon as i said - we live in a remote area and the surgery is open from 4pm. She seems fine in herself-bright and bubbly as normal. As far as we know she hasn;t eaten anything - shes not usually one to pick things up out of the garden or street although i no this may be a possibility. The water mains in our village were cut off at the beginning of the week, and when they came back on the water was brown and dirty for half a day - i'm wondering if she could have an upset tummy due to this?
