i think i have mites, the only thing that doesn't make sense is that they are brown and white (after research they are mostly red) and ive never spotted one on my gecko. just on his dish eating cricket legs i haven't noticed. they appeared after trying to give him melon, is it possible there were eggs in the fruit? they ae about 3mm long at most.
if they aren't typical blood drinking mites are they harmless?
i used to use sand, anything to do with it? ive recently changed to repti carpet in hope that the mites wont like it. ive already completely boiled and cleaned out my tank 2 times already.
thanks, i need to sort this out :s
does anyone know any treatments that are available in the uk?
i was told by my insect suppulier that they are not mites but tribolium, small beatels. i didnt belive him i though bettels were like an inch, but on wiki i sacrhed them and it turns out they can be 1/8 of an inch, the same size! and they feed on dried out fruit :) i wish i could give myself 10 points ;D
in this case are tribolium harmless?
