I have realized that putting leaflets, flyers through people's doors works; people contact you. However, not returning the call quickly seems to have meant two jobs have gone elsewhere. Is it important to return the phone call quickly? Also, if the customer wants their lawn mowed if you don't have a lawn mower yet (good petrol one) then what do you say to the customer? Should be able to buy a second hand one soon before the job though.
Carpet cleaning- I have no idea how popular this is and it is 3000 pounds to buy the equipment so wouldn't it be an idea to put leaflets through people's doors advertising it and if there are lots of calls then go and buy the equipment? Also, if this is a good idea how should the flyer/leaflet be designed? How much should be charge?
