I have carpet in my room right now. I have bought fake wood flooring for £50 and I'm having trouble. Underneath my carpet is real wood but it has gaps and if I lay the fake wood over the real wood, then wouldn't the fake wood break? because over time, when i stand all over it, i'm thinking the fakewood will go into the gaps in the real wood and cause it to crease break over time? i dont know, i'm not so sure about this stuff, as you can see ;) i've been thinking of laying the fakewood over the carpet? but then i'm worried if itll look cheap, etc? a friend of mine says i should have tiles over the real wood and then lay the fake wood? should i spent some more money on buying stick-on tiles for the whole room and then lay the fake wood? i'm really confused. please help! yikes:)
thank-you. 10 points for the most help guys!
