I left my flat a few weeks back to relocate for a new job, but left some things behind to pick up at another point when I would return to make sure that it was cleaned to an adequate standard. Now, my problem is that even though I paid until the 14th August my landlord has contacted me telling me all my stuff has to be gone by friday so the carpets can be cleaned, leaving over a week still left on my tenancy. If that wasn't bad enough, they have also said that they paid for a cleaner to go in and clean it all, and they are going to take this out of my deposit even though I haven't moved out! Surely none of this can be legal? For a start, my contract states that they will give at least 24 hours before entering the flat, and asking me to move out early surely means that they will owe me money?
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. It was my first place on my own since moving out from my parents and I don't want to be taken for a mug because of my age
