I went into a local carpet/flooring shop to order laminate flooring. I paid for my laminate but the women in the shop said I would have to pay extra to have the laminate fitted. I paid and a few days later the women from the shop said the fitter was going in hospital in 2 days and could he come to fitt the laminate. He came round a day before he was due to go in hospital but he did not finish some of the work (fitting door plates) and said he would ring the shop to send someone round the next day. I telephoned the shop and the boss called round and he was not happy on how the laminate was fitted in my hall so he said he would send a lad round who he was training. The lad came round to do the work but now I have laminate that is very loose and coming away because the lad was inexperienced The boss of the shop lives in Ireland and only comes to the shop twice a week. Is the owner of the shop responable for the bad workmanship of the fitters or is it the fitters responsibility
