I've been going to the gym for 18 months now and while it is helping me lose weight I often struggle to make it just once a week. I've been looking at getting a cross trainer or a cross trainer/bike combi so that I can use it whenever I want, hopefully up to 5 or 6 times a week. However all the rooms it would fit in are carpeted and I'm not sure if it would be stable on it. I had thought about getting a rug to avoid it digging into the carpet but now i'm not sure, and it could make the problem worse. I have had a quick look on amazon and there are a couple of things that could do the job but they don't seem problem free either. Also as a side question if anyone can help, would it make a lot of noise as I am on a second floor flat and wouldn't want neighbours to complain.
Thanks
