When we moved in there was only one item of furniture (a kettle, which apparently counts as 'some white goods') and the place was in good repair and cleanliness. The place still is, but I've heard horror stories about people not getting their deposit back because of silly things. My parents had an awful time getting theirs back because the owner got a cleaner in to clean the carpets, even though the stains had been on the carpet when they had moved in and had only gotten worse of course with us living there.
Everything is still in good shape, a small piece of door needs to be painted after getting chipped but we shall sort that out before leaving of course... but the extractor fan in the bathroom has never worked, and the handle on the window in there was missing when we moved in. Small things, but we're counting on getting our deposit back to help us get another flat, and with no inventory is this going to be a problem?
