When I viewed the apartment I didnt notice anything really wrong with the carpets, but when we were speaking he said if he couldnt save the carpets he'd have to replace them. Ofcourse he didnt. He asked me if everything seemed ok the day I got the keys, which was the day I moved in.. he wouldnt give them to me any earlier like he promised. I said yes, (but it STUNK unbelievably and he said it was from the steam cleaning) it wasnt until I moved in that I found all the dog crap stains, and gum spots (well anways I think its gum...) he also did a poor job steam cleaning becuase we had to rent one and do it ourselves, which helped for a whole 3 days maybe.
The carpets wreak still. They smell like body odor, corn chips and urine and nothing I am using is getting it out. They are glued or nailed or something (meaning I cant pick any up), and it was just one giant carpet just rolled into each room. Im tired of spending all of my momeny that I cant afford to spend on cleaning products. They should have been replaced and now that I've moved in, he can easily use the excuse that all my furniture is in the way and it would be difficult to pull them out and put new in. Plus I was told by the neighbor downstairs that he's the type that you have to get after all the time to get something done....
Is there anything I can do besides move? Im on a lease and honestly, cannot afford another move.
