Hello everyone. This is a "sequel" of sorts to a question I asked a while back here
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question /index;_ylt=Ah93X89rWVuuADZUeuczlRghBgx. ;_ylv=3?qid=20111108082437AAaJEih
Bas ically I'm going to buy the Nvidia Gtx 560 eventually, but I've no real idea about computers. Now I read that when you open them up you must attach an anti static wrist strap to yourself and the metal of the machine. I have bought one of these straps for this purpose.
So are there any other precautions I must take? Does it matter if I place the machine on my carpet floor when I open it? Yeah I didn't do very well at science in school....
Thanks for your time.
lol Smith I don't want to pay them to do something I can do myself besides if I always leave it to the experts how can I learn?
Stephen several guides online say to do it as apparently it can fry the hardware? The strap was very cheap anyway.
