Okay so guys i just got a beautiful 2 month old male yorkie 2 nights ago. He's sooo sweet and loving and the best dog ever but... he's not fully potty trained :( . we keep him mostly in the kitchen since we have carpet floors because we don't want him urinating and defecating everywhere. plus i heard that its good to keep yorkies confined and to not give them your whole house because they have small bladders, territorial behaviors and etc... but, we've been using puppy potty pads to train him to go on those ever since he got here but for some reason he won't go on them! SOMETIMES he'll pee on the pad but not all the time. i know for some reason he'll pee on the pads sometimes but NEVER will he poo on them. its getting really fustrating but i know it takes time and patience so i'm not going to lose my mind over this. usually if he pees or poos on the floor we just yell "NO!" and shake our finger so he knows that its bad.. but that doesnt work either. i told my mom to buy him a crate so we can start officially crate training him. do you think that it'll be better for him? im thinking about just letting him be in the crate for a little bit, and then take him out to pee or whatever like you're supposed to do. and maybe put a bell by the door so he can ring it.. his name is Chewie by the way. sorry this is such a long post i just don't know what to do. please help? thankss (:
