I recently got an 11 month old male chihuahua from some family members who kept him locked in a room for the last 9 months of his life. I got him all vetted up, and neutered, but we're really struggling with potty training. He doesn't pee in the night while he's sleeping in my bed, and I always wake up before him,and take him straight outside. The problem being, he wont go outside, he just runs around the yard and acts like he's doing business, but then comes inside after about 30 minutes and pees on the carpet. He also poops under my sofa. I don't know what to do. I've tried keeping him in the kennel until I get home from work, then taking him out to pee, and he does the same thing. Just comes inside and pees on the floor. Any ideas on how to get him to pee outside?
