I've recently moved into a new flat. I'm a non-smoker but the old tenant smoked heavily inside of the flat.
All the walls and the ceilings have been painted with 2 or 3 coats of paint. The carpet has been shampooed twice since moving in. I have cleaned EVERYWHERE - the windows, the light switches/fittings etc which had bad nicotine stains. The cupboards have been cleaned but when I enter my flat I am still greeted with a strong smell of cigarettes in my flat. I can't smell it all of the time but I can sometimes pick it up on my clothes.
Like I said everything has been painted and cleaned. I have all new furniture so can't see why it's still smelling so bad?
Any tips?
