I put my toaster on the floor in my living room to make a lot of toast. My toaster doesn't toast very well, so I have to jam a butter knife into the lever so it will stay on until I remove the butter knife. While I was making toast I left to go on a cruise. This was five days ago. After how many days/week can a toaster be on continuously on the carpet in my living room before it catches on fire? Also, what are the chances, do you think, that all the toast will be ruined?
