Carter sat in her tree-house reading an elegant book. It had a smooth earth-green cover made of leather. It read on the front in gold letters ?Magic and how it works?. Carter was in the middle of it. She wanted to used magic, but her father and mother would torture her if they found out she was studying magic.
One time Carter tried the subject with them and it went from calmness to bizarreness! They reacted horribly! Although she didn?t know what she did, Carter developed an interest for magic. She still had school throughout the year, but she wasn?t worried.
Carter was home schooled. She had been since she was only seven-year-old. Carter always knew her parents were hiding something, but nothing came to mind. She did really well. A?s in all classes. Her parents always bought her, her favorite thing she wanted most once the grades were all A?s. Carter knew there was something with her parents, but she didn?t ask.

Carter put the book down completely frozen. She guess she was going to ?Cent Cave?. Carter went into the door as it swung open and hit her across her cheek. Her cheek was full of blood and scrapes that would be too bad to disappear. They would turn into scars.
?Ha, Ha!? laughed Carter?s little brother, Joey in her face. Carter looked at him eyes turning red then back to the regular shade, green. Joey ran for dear life screaming.
Carter had chestnut-brown hair and emerald-green eyes. She was funny, nice, calm, adventurous, courageous, and fun. She loves to read, write, and go on her ?missions?.
Carter felt like running after Joey, but she would just get in trouble so she had to let it go. Carter took grasp in her hands and became stronger. She may?ve been made-fun-of in school, but Carter never gave up. She may?ve gotten in trouble for things she didn?t even do, but she never ever gave up. Carter wasn?t a quitter.
?You go, girl.? said a voice in Carter?s mind.
?Yes and then she made scary red things with her eyes.? came Joey?s baby?s voice. He was only five-year-old, but he could?ve talked a little bit more maturely.
?Ok, let?s go talk to her.? came Carter?s mother?s voice. Her mother?s name was Isabella.
They came up in front of Carter and Isabella crossed her arms tapping her toes on the ground. ?Care to explain?? she asked sternly not paying attention to Carter?s scratch on her cheek.
?Well I was coming up to the door and Joey flung it open making scars on my cheek. Then I did this uncontrollable thing with my eyes and he got scared and ran off.? explained Carter politely.
?Your grounded. Don?t scare your little brother like that. He doesn?t know any better.? said Isabella pointing to the stairs.
Carter glared at her brother and her mother. Then she ran up the staircase. The upstairs hall had red carpet and red walls. Elegantly brown doors hand-carved. Carter ran down the hallway to the right and up another staircase to a third floor. She went to the third door on the left-side and opened it politely. She closed it quietly and went to sit on her bed.
