Some time ago we had our old metal household water tank replaced by a plastic one. The worker left the old tank on the carpet until he could collect it for disposal the next day. But overnight it leaked water, which left a rusty brown mark on the carpet measuring about 2 inches square. Weve never known how to clean this stain out -a car carpet cleaner (an aerosol which produces a foam which is supposed to brush off taking the stains with it) has no effect. Anyone know what to do?
