Ok so I got a kitten last year and she always used her litter box until a few months ago. But now thats she's reached sexual maturity, she's started to urinate in one particular spot which happens to be carpet. I live in a furnished flat so can't rip up the carpet. I've got an appointment to get her spayed in a few weeks but is there anything I can do in the meantime to stop her. The area she's using is in a small cubbyhole and doesn't get much air at that part of the flat so each time I clean it, it smells worse because it dampens and doesn't really dry out properly.
And the biggest issue, how do I get rid of the smell?? No cleaner I use seems to work and Ive tried everything right down to fabric softner but I'm at a loss?
