I have been visiting family in scotland with my husband and 2 year old son for nearly a month, while we where away we let my 18 year old sister stay in our house.
We figured she would enjoy free use of our sky, internet and the freedom of an empty house, and in return she would look after our house.
We got home today to find our house in a filthy mess, there was rubbish everywhere, there was 6 rubbish bags piled in the kitchen, dirty pots everywhere, and flies.
The kitchen was the worst it was so filthy there where flies everywhere, I actually began to heave when I saw it, it is that bad.
The living room was less filthy just messy, dirty dishes and trash and random stuff everywhere.
Our bedroom was a mess clothes all over, mugs and plates piled at the sides of the bed and god knows what spilt on the carpet.
The bathroom wasn't too bad, just untidy.
Even my sons room was a mess, something had beed spiBeen spiltfloor and the room stank of rubbish, I can only assume there had been rubbish bags in there.
I can't believe she would trash our house like this.
We are staying with friends tonight as there is no way we could stay there.
At first I thought she must have had a party or something, but our neighborneighbour'se hadn't, so all I can assume is that she has lived like a pig in my house and not done anything.
Its so bad there as actually flies in the kitchen, what am I going to do?
How the hell am I going to clean this?
Where should I start?

You are right I was venting, but I was just so angry, and I had no idea where I was going to start, I was actually google-ing 'how to clean a filthy house' when I came upon an answers question, and I just though it seemed like the best idea.
My sister wasn't actually at my house when we got back, and I haven't seen her yet, which is probably a good thing as I may have killed her!
I just can't understand why she would, not only trash my house, but leave it in such a rancid mess, its clear she had made not effort what so ever to clean up before she left, and she knew when we where coming home.
It is going to be just a huge job, and the thought of it is quite overwhelming.
