to get a new central heating system in. The work is now into its 3rd day and the mess/disruption has been immense. More than that my 3 year old has been in exile, unable to play/bathe etc all this time and all my decor has been ruined. The bathroom especially is worst because the radiator is now half the size meaning I have a huge square of old wall paper etc exposed. Most rooms have this. The carpet in my room is all black marks, my laminate in the living room/dining room now has 6 holes from where the old radiators were. My old fireplace too (which has now been replace with a wall radiator) has been left exposing a huge gap again in my wooden floors.
Nothing against the 2 workmen doing their job - they are really courteous etc - Just annoyed at the housing association for imposing such a major works without giving us proper notice etc and meaning have to take time off.
Are they legally obliged to redecorate and mend all the decor/carpets/walls etc which are now like
something out of DIY s.o.s!
Hoping someone can help please. Thanks. Just so down at the state of my once immaculate house and the thought of all the expense of having to start over with all the papering etc just holds no appeal whatsoever!
