At last we've finally settled our claim for a new carpet via the household insurance which has taken nearly four months to sort out, talk about long winded.
My granddaughter accidentally spilled her blackcurrant juice on our 10 month old lounge carpet and the stain was only discovered a short while afterwards when by then the carpet was irretrievable, you know the kind of thing the more we tried to clean it off the bigger it grew.
Anyway we've had this policy for years and thought the claim would be more or less cut and dried but oh not so.
The small print might as well have been written in Swahili and needed a magnifying glass to help decipher it, still despite all the wrangling we stuck to our guns and we are now due to have a new one delivered on Wednesday, so at last it's resolved and finally paid off in the end.
