Hi,
Right, this is my situation-
2 weeks ago, I had an underground water pipe burst under the floor of my flat. The council are (VERY slowly) dealing with this. I went into the housing association to ask what I need to do ect and if they were prepared to pay for my carpets that had been damaged. Unfortunately, the flat, which I took lease of in November has not been properly maintained.
The housing association have told me if I wish to ask for any money towards the replacement of my carpets I need to put it in writing. I am a single mother on a low income so I do not have to spare money to replace them myself- I had to use my saving initially to buy them.
Does anyone have any idea what kind of thing I need to write in this letter for a (hopefully successful) result? I would appreciate any help on this matter as my letter writing skills are not great and I don't really know where to start.
Thanks for all your help in advance
