Firstly my two year old son kept getting bitten and i couldnt work out why (put it down the nats) until I found out on sunday that my beloved cat has fleas...i noticed because they were swirling around in my cup of tea...not very nice!!! It also seems some nights in sleep in my sons bedroom and my legs have been bitten to pieces! My partner who sleeps in our room every night hasnt been bitten once!! So i searched my cat and did indeed find that she had fleas on her, she has been leaving black spots on the window sill (to be honest i first just put this down to dirt) as shes always rolling around on the paths etc. Anyway to the point, i went out yesterday (bank holiday) and brought some flea treatment for her, got someone else to do it because i am pregnant. Today i have covered all my carpets in salt and have left it for 5 hours then spend what seemed forever hoovering it all up! only using salt because i cant use the harsher stuff because of being pregnant. Ive washed bedding and hoovered curtains etc. She rarely sleeps on the carpets but i did them anyway. Only to go upstairs about 10minutes ago, and noticed a black dot on my sons bed...then it jumped away i managed to find it and kill the little F*****... and went out to the garden and brushed the cat to find around 5 live fleas still on her even though it hasnt been 24hours since she had treatment. what am i doing wrong, ive just spend the whole day cleaning my house top to bottom. I am now at wits end and think i may have to get rid of my cat for the sake of my son and unborn child unless anyone else has any idea? thanks in advance!
