Ok, so I am only a young teen and so is my friend.
Today I came back from sleeping over her house with another good-friend, her mother was having a party and invited me and the other girl a long.
But the thing is I don't know if it's just because we live in different ways, we live in the same village but I live in a newer type of house and bigger.
My friend only lives with her mother and her 1 Year Younger Sister, there house is actually placed in the 'rough' part of the village where lot's of trouble goes on, such as fights, drug-dealers and alcholics everywhere.
I went to her party thing anyway and all the adults were down stairs in the kitchen drinking and the children were in the room upstairs, there house isn't very clean, they do not have carpet in some parts of the house, so there is just the wood and the little spikes poking out from the floor in some parts, they have not decorated there house from the last person, the floors are very dirty, the same with some of the rooms such as bathroom and kitchen walls.
They do not even have a bin in the house they just have a black plastic bag, there chairs in kitchen have stains all over them and things like that.
I went to the toilet in her home when I was sleeping over and the water was BLACK! The actual toilet water was black, I flushed the toilet and it stayed the same colour and still is.
I get that they do not have that much money and such but is this a good way to live?
It's not like they are neglected or anything. They eat like everyone else does, they are not very skinny people, you will see them dressed in the same clothes quite often but that's not there fault.
The mother drinks a lot as she was drunk yesterday when I slept over her home, my friend actually moved out from her mother before and stayed with her nan due to problems with the mother but the younger girl stayed there.
The younger girl has behavior problems, the mother drinks a lot...
I just wanted to know, will my friend be okay living in a place like this, I am just wondering, like I said I could just think this is bad because of the way I live, I'm not sure... that's why I am asking?
