Carpet Floors - the soft and comfortable side of living.

My secondary character, a soldier of a defeated army, was captured by the enemy in a disused office block. They interrogated her for the location of her commanders, before they were attacked. Now, this doesn't come from nowhere: she was contacted via radio by fellow soldiers, who's instructions lead to her capture. Due to their underestimation of the strength of the enemy force, they had to radio for reinforcements.
I ran into trouble writing the aftermath of this bit, mostly because I don't know how angry you'd be if you were about to suffer unimaginable pain because you followed the instructions of some idiot on a radio, but an idiot who did eventually save you anyway. Oh, and I included some of the scene before the attack to give you a sense of the enemy's ruthlessness.

?I don?t know where either of them are, so no matter what you do, I can?t do any harm to either of them.?
?I don?t believe you,? he snapped, suddenly angry. He drew his knife, twenty centimetres of gleaming steel, and pressed it under her chin, forcing her head upwards. She froze, her gaze fixed on his hard grey eyes, hardly daring to breath.
?I know,? she said softly. ?They?re in the sanitation tunnels, fifty metres west from the door.? He gazed intently at her for a couple of seconds.
?I don?t believe you.?
?I know you don?t,? Hanigan said, smiling tightly. ?Do you see? If I knew where they were, and I told you, you wouldn?t believe me.? he leaned forward, so that his mouth was centimetres away from her ear.
?When we?re done with you, you?ll be begging us to let you tell us more,? he whispered.
?I?ve got nothing to say to you psychos,? Hanigan muttered, straining to maintain an exterior of calm. This man scared her, but if she let her fear show, it would only feed him.
?There?s time for that to change,? he said, with a smile of anticipation.
One of the soldiers raised his weapon and squinted down the sights towards the far side of the room.
?Someone?s there,? he breathed. The sergeant smiled thinly and drew his pistol.
?Come out now,? he called, pointing it squarely at Hanigan?s head. ?You have five seconds, then I execute the woman!? He began to count down. When he reached three, he drew the slide on the pistol back.
?Two!? His finger tightened slightly on the trigger. One of the soldiers fired, but hit nothing. They shifted nervously. The back of the sergeant?s head burst open, showering the man behind him with gore. He fell backwards, finger pulling the trigger reflexively. The shot went wide, punching through the thin wooden cubicle wall behind her.
?Lady, take cover!? A voice in her ear hissed. She launched herself clumsily to the left and began to drag herself across the floor.
She had almost managed to reach safety when a small, cylindrical object bounced to a halt in less than a metre in front of her.
?Flashbang!? One of the Porfyre soldiers bellowed. She clamped her eyes shut and turned her head. A wave of unimaginable noise and light smashed into her. She felt a boot slam into her ribs, as though someone had staggered into her, and then a body fall across her back. She lay on the carpet, unable to see, think or hear.
After what felt like days, the corpse was lifted off her. Vaguely, she became aware that she had been rolled over and that someone was trying to speak to her.
?Are you alright?? The voice sounded tinny. She managed an odd groan, if only to show she was still conscious.
?What...? She muttered, struggling to bring the face in front of her into focus. She noticed that her hands were no longer bound.
?Can you tell us your name?? The face asked. The man who it belonged to her wore plain black fatigues, much better suited to interior of this place than her own pale grey.
?Hanigan,? she croaked, surprising herself by managing even that.

Where would you go from here? If it helps, she is trying to get the last major stronghold of her people to request their help in saving the protagonist, who has vanished.
