3 Background facts before question :
1 ) I have always had an interest in resistance training. I know I am stronger when I consume more calories regardless of training. If calories are decreased, I become weaker. This isn't quite the case for sit-ups, as the body becomes lighter, but bear in mind a babies main weight is the head, not huge shoulders and chest.
2) Our baby never had a chance to practice sitting up because of hard floors. We tried to let her on a mat and on the bed at night but it wasn't the same as when I was a kid and had thick carpets.
3) Our baby eats extremely healthy right from 6 months. She naturally has no appetite for sweets (maybe because her mum ate no junk and lots of veg in the womb ) Consequently she has always been slim and dainty compared to many fat babies the same age we see.
Now my question : -
I know if I fed her lots of muscle building calories, even in the form of mcdonalds, she would at least be stronger. Thats the laws of physics and I would assume she would be rolling over and pulling herself up earlier. If I let her take a few bangs to the head, she would have had far more resistance training at the expense of a few more bruises
If my theory is right, and these reasons are the reasons for quicker development, then surely we shouldn't all boast about how strong our babies are. The 'bigger picture' things to worry about are Cancer, heart problems in later life, diabetes, and of course bangs to the head cant be good for Never mind looking like a bull dog :)
